Hotels and resorts have seen increase in domestic tourists to 90 percent occupancy

Kathmandu: After seven months, hotels and resorts in the Kathmandu Valley have seen a resurgence. Hotels and resorts, which have been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, have been flooded during the Dashain Festival. The number of people wandering in the midst of Corona’s panic has been significant, which is why hotels and resorts are full.

Most of the hotel resorts had only 50 percent room occupancy due to the covid pandemic. However, entrepreneurs have said that now the occupancy of the rooms has reached 90 percent during the festive season.The occupancy of Chandragiri Hills Resort, Green Valley Resort and Bojini Resort in Kathmandu is around 90 percent. The company has offered attractive packages to increase tourism activities after the lockdown. The company had brought a package of Rs 6,000 for a two-day bed and breakfast for two people.Under this package, customers have free cable car facility, breakfast, deluxe room. The club in Nagarkot had 18 rooms in operation even in the Himalayas.

Hotel Mystic Mountain in Nagarkot has stated that the bustle has increased since the flowering. The hotel has 72 rooms but only 62 of them have been brought into operation. Tourist activity in Pokhara has alsoincreased during the festive season. Last year, all the rooms in Pokhara were full during this period. However, this year about 20 percent of the rooms have been filled due to corona. Member of tourists visiting Sauraha has increased during the Dashain festival.
