Hoteliers demand immidiate implementation of travel leave

Kathmandu: Hoteliers have demanded to implement the travel leave given to government employees to increase domestic tourism activities.

This request was made by the hoteliers affiliated with Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) on the eve of World Tourism Day. “We urge the government to immediately implement the 10-day travel leave and one-month free entry permit for international tourists and facilitate the revival of tourism,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, entrepreneurs have welcomed the decision of the government to provide on-arrival visas to foreign tourists.

Entrepreneurs have also expressed commitment to operate the entire service based on the growing demand in the market.

Entrepreneurs believe that the possibility of infection will be lessened when more than 95 percent of the vaccinated patients are in the forefront and the service facility is available from the staff. Entrepreneurs also have a commitment to move forward with one voice for tourism to provide services on the occasion of World Tourism Day 2021.

Entrepreneurs also said that the government should take all possible initiatives to remove the country from the red zone in the international arena as more than 40 percent of Nepali citizens have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
