Kathmandu: In order to make Holi dignified and accident-free, the Metropolitan Traffic Police has tightened security in the Kathmandu Valley.
In Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur, 1,300 traffic police have been deployed and special checkpoints have been set up at 68 places. The checking has also been tightened since this morning.
Two monitoring teams led by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, 14 mobile teams, vehicle records management team and additional traffic police on motorcycles have been mobilized since Thursday morning.
