Kathmandu: The number of skilled workers going for foreign employment is increasing.
According to the Department of Foreign Employment, in the last fiscal year 2079/80, more than half a million skilled manpower have migrated in search of job opportunities.
As the report states, 771,327 people took work permits for foreign employment in the review period, of which 567,046 are skilled manpower.
This number of skilled workers going to foreign employment has increased compared to previous years.
The statistics show that the number of people going as unskilled workers has gradually decreased while the number of people going as skilled workers has increased.
