Govt to take over ‘Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium’ project

Kathmandu: The government has announced to take over remaining work on the Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium of Chitwan.

President Bidhya Devi Bhandari said that the government will coordinate and facilitate the construction of Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium to complete the remaining work in the forthcoming policy and program presented in the joint sitting of the federal parliament today.

The government has taken a policy of constructing international standard stadiums with at least one sports coach facility in each state.

The government plans to build sports villages at all local levels of the country. In the policy and program presented by President Bhandari, it is mentioned that the necessary process of construction will be taken forward after studying the feasibility of the sports university.
