Kathmandu: Those who are in dire need of an electronic passport (e-passport) can get the required national identity card from three different places in Kathmandu.
According to the National Identity Card and Registration Department, those who are in need can make an identity card by visiting the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, District Administration Office, Lalitpur and Narayanhiti Durbar premises.
As the government has made national identity card mandatory for e-passport, the number of people issuing national identity card has increased.
The department has stated that services will be available from these places from next Sunday. This arrangement has been made by the Passport Department until the service is extended from all District Administration Offices and Area Offices.
