Govt removes odd and even number to operate vehicles inside the valley

Kathmandu: The system of odd and even numbers to operate private and public transport in the Kathmandu Valley has been removed. Now all private and public vehicles can be operated by fulfilling the health safety standards.

The Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur districts has issued a restraining order with effect from July 6.

Public transport will not be allowed to carry more passengers than the seat capacity and masks have been made mandatory for passengers. Drivers and co-drivers must wear masks as well as visors and gloves, and sanitizers at the door. Vehicles will have to be disinfected every day.
