Kathmandu: In a recent announcement, the government declared its intention to reclaim land formerly occupied by the Bansbari Leather and Shoe Factory, deemed unlawfully held by the private sector.
The Department of Land Reform and Management (DOLRM) in Dillibazar formally announced the nationalization of the land on Friday, asserting rightful ownership by the government.
During a press briefing, the department revealed plans to transfer ownership of 10 ropanis of land, previously under the Bansbari Leather and Shoe Factory, back to government control.
