Kathmandu: The govt has passed the proposed name ‘Madesh’ for province no 1. A proposal to keep Janakpurdham as the permanent capital has also been passed.
The proposal has been passed with two-thirds votes. All the parties in the provincial assembly today agreed to make Janakpurdham the capital. Meanwhile, a few MPs from Parsa and surrounding areas were in favor of Birgunj.
