Kathmandu: The Department of Passport has stopped the distribution of non-essential passports.
The department has stopped distributing passports to the people except for essential services. The department has also suspended booking and token distribution recently.
The department has stated that the passport will be issued on the basis of important reasons for going abroad.
A statement issued by the department said, “Except for urgent services of serious nature such as going abroad for treatment, the services related to passport services provided by this department are limited till further notice.”
