Govt forms a committee to re-investigate the Nirmala Panta’s rape and murder case

Kathmandu: A committee has been formed to investigate the rape and murder case of Nirmala Panta.

The committee has been formed under the leadership of DIG Durga Singh, who is working in the Central Bureau of Investigation.

Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane made the first decision to conduct a judicial inquiry into Nirmala Panta’s murder after assuming office.

Four years back, Nirmala, a resident of Kanchanpur was murdered after death. Since then, the police is under investigation however no progress has been seen so far in this case.
