Govt allows pvt hospitals to operate vaccination centers

Kathmandu: The government has decided to allow medical colleges and private hospitals to hold vaccination centers against covid-19. Earlier, the government had been vaccinating citizens only in government hospitals.

The Ministry of Health and Population said in a press release on Monday that all medical colleges and private hospitals with a capacity of more than 50 beds could run vaccination centers in coordination with the health institutions of the districts concerned.

It is mentioned in the release that citizens above 18 years of age can be vaccinated from 9 am to 4 pm on the basis of the availability of vaccine within the rules of the government.

The ministry has called on medical colleges and private hospitals to launch a vaccination campaign to prevent the corona.
