Government urges Nepalis living in Afghanistan to get in touch

Kathmandu: The government has urged Nepali citizens in Afghanistan to come in contact with the respective authorities. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a press release on Sunday stating that online registration has been started for the collection of details of Nepali citizens in Afghanistan.

Now, Nepali citizens living in Afghanistan or their family members can submit their names and details on the website of the Department of Consular Services.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also made public mobile numbers including Viber and WhatsApp facilities for rescue-related contacts.

The Government of Nepal has also written a letter to the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, the European Union, Japan, and the United Nations to immediately rescue and repatriate Nepalis working in diplomatic missions and international organizations in Kabul.

A Travel Advisory has been issued by the Nepali Mission in New Delhi on the latest developments and situation in Afghanistan.

The ministry has also demanded the details of the Nepalese working in Afghanistan and the reliable information and statistics for the rescue work with the manpower companies sending them for foreign employment.
