According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations, on Friday, gold prices in Nepal reached an unprecedented level. The price for one tola of gold soared to a record-breaking Rs 116,000, marking a significant milestone.
The determination of gold prices was temporarily halted the previous week due to the Dashain festivities.
At that time, just before the holiday, the last recorded price stood at Rs 115,500 per tola, which was also a record high. However, following Dashain, gold prices increased by Rs 500 per tola, setting a new all-time high.
In contrast, silver prices have remained relatively stable, currently standing at Rs 1,400 per tola.
On the global front, the price of gold reached US$ 1986.87 per ounce on Friday, with silver also increasing to $22.89 per ounce.
