Kathmandu: Gold prices continued to fall in the Nepali market on Tuesday, dropping by Rs 2,900 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association. The price of fine gold has been fixed at Rs 237,000 per tola, down from Rs 239,900 on Monday.
The precious metal has been on a steady decline for the past week, mirroring global market trends. On Monday, international gold prices fell by about three percent per ounce. Since the Tihar festival, gold prices in Nepal have plunged by Rs 16,500 per tola.
Similarly, silver prices have also dipped by Rs 60 per tola, now standing at Rs 2,920 per tola.
