Kathmandu: Police have arrested a young man on charge of gang-raping a young woman in Rapti Municipality of East Chitwan for the past two months.
According to the police, 45-year Purna Ghalan has been holding the 27-year-old girl hostage for the past two months.
The victim, who was working in Kathmandu, had come to her sister-in-law’s house in April. Ghalan had taken the girl, who had got off from the bus at Bhandara Bazaar at night, to his house saying that Piple is too far away and would be dropeed off the next morning.
According to the complaint filed by the victim’s sister-in-law, Ghalan called three other people and raped them on the same night.
