Kathmandu: Young demonstrators took to the streets again on Tuesday, protesting what they described as a brutal state crackdown that left 19 people dead during Monday’s demonstrations.
Protests erupted in areas including Kalanki and Baneshwor, despite curfews imposed across Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur.
According to reports, Monday’s clashes claimed 19 lives and injured more than 400 people. The government’s use of force has drawn widespread condemnation from various quarters.
