Kathmandu: Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa has claimed that Congress leader Aftab Alam, who is in jail, will not be nominated as a candidate for parliament in the upcoming Provincial Assembly and House of Representatives elections.
Thapa said this while addressing the launch ceremony of author Ramlal Joshi’s creative narrative “Ba Aama” on Friday.
General Secretary Thapa said that the party will never recommend Alam for the election as long as he will remain in the party.
He also claimed that the party does not do what is prohibited by the constitution.
