Kathmandu: Bilateral talks between the Foreign Secretaries of Nepal and India have concluded today.
Foreign Secretary Bharatraj Poudel and Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringala were present at the talks. One-on-one talks were held between the two secretaries before the formal bilateral talks.
Giving a brief response to the media after the talks, the Indian Foreign Secretary said, “The talks have got off to a good start. The two countries have been discussing ways to resolve issues.
He further said, “The talks have been very fruitful. The agendas of the talks are very broad. There has been a very useful discussion on issues ranging from economic cooperation to infrastructure construction.
After the meeting, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned in a tweet that the discussions between the two countries were held in a very cordial atmosphere.
The Embassy of India in Kathmandu appreciated the progress made by both sides in a number of bilateral initiatives and projects. “It was also agreed to take further steps to advance mutual cooperation,” the embassy said.
