Fire break in Shivapuri National Park

Kathmandu: A fire has broken out in Shivapuri National Park.

Helicopters have also used water to control the fire. However, it didn’t come under control till Tuesday evening.

According to the police, water has not been pumped from the helicopter as it was evening. Earlier, water was pumped from a helicopter when a fire broke out in Shivapuri forest.

On Tuesday, two more places were affected on the same day. According to police, the fire in Sorakhutte was brought under control with the help of two fire brigades, police and locals.

The fire also broke out in a community forest at the mouth of Bishnumati river in Tokha. But it was taken under control with the help of police and fire brigade.

The cause of all the three fires has not been disclosed.
