Executive Chairman of NAC suspended

Kathmandu: The government has suspended Yubaraj Adhikari, executive chairman of the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC).

The cabinet meeting held on Monday has decided to suspend him.

Lately, his relationship with Tourism Minister Prem Bahadur Ale was not too good. The audio of Ale insulting the officer with obscene words was also made public.

Soon after that a group of employees had been demanding Ale’s dismissal.

However, before that, another group of employees of Nepal Airlines Corporation handed demanded for officer’s dismissal.

The employees had accused the officials of not having any plan for the operation of the corporation, not paying installments to the employees’ provident fund even when the business of the corporation was good, and not making necessary master plan for the Pokhara International Airport to come into operation in the near future.
