Energy Minister Bhusal urges to increase electricity consumption

Kathmandu: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal has appealed to all sectors to increase electricity consumption.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Oxygen Plant constructed by Chhetrapati Hospital on Saturday she said that electricity is now sufficient to alleviate the crisis in the energy sector and urged all sectors to contribute to the building of the national economy by increasing its utilization.

She said that the government has even reduced the tariff rate of electricity to increase the consumption of electricity.

Minister Bhusal also reminded that the government has already signed an agreement with India to sell electricity.
