Kathmandu: The Election Commission has requested the political parties and candidates to include the expenses of advertising through social media during the elections in the election expenditure statement.
With the completion of the nomination paper registration program of candidates under the election system of the first to be elected under the election of the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly members, various political parties and candidates have started campaigning and advertising using social media.
The commission has requested all political parties and candidates to keep the details of all the expenses of advertisements through social media accurate and correct as the records of the commission’s monitoring mechanism will be checked to determine whether or not candidates have included the expenses of advertising through social media in the election expenditure statement submitted according to the law after the election is over.
