Dollar exchange limit raised to USD 3,000 for Nepalis traveling abroad

Kathmandu: Nepal Rastra Bank has increased the foreign exchange facility for Nepali citizens traveling to countries other than India, raising the limit from USD 2,500 to USD 3,000 per trip.

The revised provision was announced in the monetary policy for the fiscal year 2025/26, released on Friday.

The move aims to ease travel-related expenses for Nepalis going abroad, excluding India, where currency exchange facilities follow a separate arrangement.
