Kathmandu: The bullion market has entered into the digital payment system. Digital payment has been implemented in the bullion market after the Federation of Gold and Silver Dealer’s Association of Nepal and Gateway Payment Nepal signed an agreement for payment services.
On Sunday, FeNeGoSiDA President Manik Ratna Shakya and Gateway Payment Nepal Advisor Ashok Krishna Shrestha signed the agreement. According to the federation, after the agreement is reached between the two organizations, gold and silver traders will be able to collect payment nationally and internationally through a digital platforms.
Now customers can pay through online banking, internet banking, mobile banking, digital wallet, and domestic and international cards after purchasing gold and silver jewelry.
This will be beneficial for both consumers and businessmen, said FeNeGoSiDA President Manik Ratna Shakya.
Shrestha, an advisor to Gateway Payment Nepal, said the technology would make it easier to do business and help entrepreneurs become self-reliant.
