Deuba claims for Prime Minister with 149 MPs’ signatures

Kathmandu: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has submitted his claim to the President for his appointment of the Prime Minister with signatures of 149 MPs in his favor.

A meeting of top leaders of Congress, CPN (Maoist) Center, Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of CPN-UML and Upendra Yadav faction of Janata Samajwadi Party held at Sidharbar on Friday agreed to nominate Deuba as the prime minister.

The agreement has been signed by 61 members of the Congress, 49 members of the Maoist Center (including one independent), 26 members of the Madhav Nepal Group, 12 members of the JSP and one member of the Rashtriya Janamorcha.
