Kathmandu: Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Pramod Nepal, has been arrested with a bribe of 600,000 rupees and unidentified 1.6 mn rupees.
According to the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission, Nepal was arrested red-handed with a bribe of 600,000 rupees from a hotel in Nagpokhari.
According to the authority, he was taking bribe for registration of tourism business. At the meantime the authority has also found unidentified 1.6 million rupees cash from his car.
Further investigations are underway.
