Kathmandu: Khim Lal Devkota has won the seat of National Assembly of Bagmati Province. In today’s by-election in Hetauda, ​​Devkota defeated CPN-UML candidate and Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal and won the seat.

Defeating the outgoing Home Minister and CPN-UML candidate Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’, Devkota has elected as National Assembly Member with a total of 5,088 votes.

Devkota had the support of the Nepali Congress, the CPN-Maoist Center, the Janata Samajwadi Party and the CPN-UML’s Madhav Kumar Nepal group.
