Surkhet (Rashtriya Samachar Samiti): The Karnali province government has decided to set up covid Hospital in all 10 districts and treatment centers in towns and villages.
A meeting of the Province Disaster Management Center chaired by Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi on Saturday has decided to provide intensive care unit with beds at Chaurjahari in Jumla, Surkhet and Rukum West.
According to Bimala KC, spokesperson of the provincial government and Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, the meeting also decided to tighten the checkpoints at the Karnali entry point to control corona as corona infection is on the rise in Nepal and other countries.
“Citizens who have gone to India for employment are returning to Nepal every day,” said spokesperson KC. “The Karnali Province Police Office, Surkhet, has been directed to make arrangements to provide the mobile numbers and clear address records of the returning citizens.”
She also said that the Ministry of Social Development has decided to set up a hotline call center to exchange information on covid-19 infection.
The meeting decided to make arrangements for the bus operators to make it mandatory for public transport passengers to wear masks, the Ministry of Social Development to spread awareness about adherence to health safety standards and make arrangements for compulsory home isolation for people with corona virus symptoms at the entrance.
