Kathmandu: Construction companies have decided to go on a ‘construction holiday’ from Sunday, shutting down all construction work except essential work.
Stating that there has been an unexpected rise in prices of various construction materials and the construction work cannot be carried out until the problem of such price rise is resolved, the construction companies have decided to stop construction work.
The Federation of Contractor’s Association of Nepal held a press conference in Kathmandu today and said that they were forced to stop the construction work and go into agitation after the government did not address their repeated requests for the immediate release of Price Adjustment Guidance No. 2.
