Kathmandu: Abdullah Almutairi, the head coach of the Nepali national football team, has demanded ANFA to investigate the allegations leveled against him by the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) vice-president Pankaj Bikram Nemwang.
Head coach Almutairi had submitted the application to ANFA on Thursday.
Stating that Vice President Nemwang had forced him to resign, coach Almutairi had announced his resignation on social media a few days ago while addressing the fans. Although he has not officially submitted his resignation letter. Since then, he has not even gone for closed training of the national team.
Earlier, when two journalists of a sports online portal asked about the coach smoking in a public place, the journalist said that the coach did not treat him well and handed over a letter to ANFA to investigate.
The case of the resignation of the coach has now made waves in Nepali football. An emergency meeting of ANFA has been called tomorrow at 4 o’clock to discuss this issue and the fair championship project.
