CNI urges govt to attract investments from USA

Kathmandu: The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has urged the proposed ambassador to the United States to create an environment to play a role to bring investments from USA in Nepal.

In a meeting with the confederation’s president Bishnukumar Agrawal and other officials, the proposed ambassador Shridhar Khatri was requested to work with the country’s tourism development at the center along with export promotion.

During the discussion, Khatri was urged to establish easy access to the US market for specialized products such as pashmina, readymade garments and churpi and to work for market expansion.

The Confederation also urged Khatri to make high-level visits on behalf of the United States to promote tourism in the country and to pay special attention to strengthening diplomatic relations between Nepal and the United States through economic diplomacy.
