Kathmandu: A Greek mountaineer has died while returning from successful summit of Mt. Dhaulagiri.
Seven Summits Trek has confirmed that Antonis Sycaris, a Greek climber, was killed at an altitude of 7,400 meters while returning from a successful ascent of Dhaulagiri Mountain on Saturday morning.
The 60-year-old mountaineer Antonis has climbed five mountains, including Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, Manaslu, Lhotse and Annapurna at an altitude of 8,000 meters.
Antonis, who has climbed 63 mountains so far, was known as a famous climber.
