Chitwan Police issues statement requesting not to influence ongoing investigation into death of 14-year student

Kathmandu: The District Police Office in Chitwan has officially confirmed that investigations are currently underway into the unfortunate demise of a 14-year-old student from Ekata Shishu Niketan Boarding School in Ratnanagar Municipality.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Sriram Bhandari, the spokesperson for the office, released a statement on Saturday, urging the public to refrain from sharing any materials that might prejudice or influence the ongoing investigation.

DSP Bhandari emphasized the importance of withholding dissemination of information until forensic test reports are received. The statement assures the public that the Nepal Police is treating the sensitive matter of a minor’s death with the utmost seriousness, adhering to professional values, efficiency, and discretion as mandated by the prevailing law.

The official statement reads, “We assure the victim’s family and all others that a factual and objective investigation will be conducted on the basis of scientific examination and technical analysis of the incident.”

Furthermore, the District Police Office expressed concern over the contents circulating on various social networks and media platforms related to the incident. They underscored their commitment to thoroughly investigate these matters while emphasizing the need for responsible reporting during the ongoing inquiry.
