Kathmandu: Chinese Foreign Minister and State Councilor Wang Yi is coming to Kathmandu today for a three-day visit.
He is coming to Kathmandu today via India. He is the first high-level guest to visit Nepal after the formation of the current government led by Sher Bahadur Deuba.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he is coming to Nepal at the formal invitation of foreign minister Narayan Khadka.
During his stay in Nepal, he will hold meetings with President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Foreign Minister Khadka and top leaders of major political parties.
During the meeting, Nepal will hold discussions with a delegation led by Foreign Minister Wang focusing on the implementation of cooperation projects under the Belt and Road Initiative, an infrastructure development project put forward by China.
