Kathmandu: China is set to hold an international conference on co-operation against corona. On August 5, China will hold its first meeting of the International Forum on Coronavirus Vaccine.

Nepal has also been invited to the conference, which is being held on the initiative of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. The theme of the conference, which will be held through virtual media, is “Increasing international cooperation in corona vaccines, fair and equitable distribution of vaccines around the world”.

Foreign ministers, health ministers, senior government officials, UN representatives and representatives of vaccine companies will be participating on the conference. Nepal, however, is not sure whether it will participate in the conference.

China has recently placed special emphasis on equitable distribution of vaccines. China is the world’s largest recipient of subsidized vaccines.
