Kathmandu: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has made public the winter flight schedule for the airlines.
According to the public schedule, 18 airlines, including two from Nepal, have been allowed to connect Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, to various foreign destinations.
As per the approval schedule, Qatar Airways, Himalayan Airlines and Nepal Airlines Corporation have a large number of flights. Qatar alone is allowed to operate up to five daily flights.
An average of 230 flights a week will connect Kathmandu to various destinations. Accordingly, permission has been issued for an average of 33 international flights daily. In this schedule, only two daily flights have been approved for Nepal and India. Recently, the government of Nepal and India are preparing to increase the number of such flights to eight daily.
