CAAN bans flying drone in airport territory

Kathmandu: Flying drones have been banned within 5 km of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has issued a notice on Friday informing not to fly drones within a 5 km area of ​​TIA.

According to the airport office, such actions will seriously affect the flight safety of the aircraft. The authority has warned that strict action will be taken in accordance with the law if anyone refuses to do such activities.

According to the CAAN, although drone flying rules 2021 prohibits flying drones around the airport, drones have been flying around the airport recently.
