Kathmandu: Buddha Air will operate night flights at six different airports from next Sunday.
The company is going to operate night flights at six airports after the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) decided to keep the airports with night landing facility open for 18 hours.
Accordingly, domestic flights will now be available till 12 o’clock at night.
Buddha Air has stated that it will start night flights to Janakpur, Nepalgunj, Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Bhadrapur, and Simara from Sunday.
These flights will start at 8 pm. About 13 percent of the flight schedule approved by the CAAN is night-flights.
Buddha Air has stated in a press release that night flights will be very attractive for the passengers who are busy with daily work.
Buddha Air has also requested the province and local governments to facilitate public transport to night-flight destinations.
