Ban on flying kite around Tribhuvan International Airport

Kathmandu: As the Dashain festival nears, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has requested not to fly kite around the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Flying kites around the airport during the flight and landing of the aircraft may cause a serious accidents, thus the authority has banned the flying of kites.

The authority has said stated that such actions may have a serious impact on the flight safety of the aircraft. The authority has also warned that action will be taken according to the prevailing law if the kite is flown in disobedience or in violation of the notice.
