Balendra and Sunita confirm to be new KMC Mayor and Deputy Mayor

Kathmandu: Independent candidate Balendra Shah ‘Balen’ has won the mayoral post of Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Sunita Dangol has won the post of deputy mayor.

Their victory was assured even before the counting of votes is completed.

Both Balen and Sunita had more votes to count than their closest rivals, so victory has been assured.
