Kathmandu: A team including members of Bahrain’s royal family has successfully climbed the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest. The team reached the summit of Everest at 6.40 am on Tuesday, said Mira Acharya, director of the Department of Tourism.
The team is the first permission of the current season to climb Mt. Everest.
The team includes 16 climbers, including Prince Mohammed Hamad Mohammed Al Khalifa of Bahrain. Earlier, Prince Khalifa had successfully climbed Mt Manaslu and Mt Lobuche last year.
