Kathmandu: Argentina won the 2022 FIFA World Cup by defeating France in a penalty shootout.

Argentina beat France 4-2 in a penalty shootout in an exciting match at Lusail Stadium in Qatar.

After the 2-2 draw in the scheduled 90 minutes, the match went into extra time. After the 3-3 draw in the extra time, the game went to a penalty shootout.

Argentina won the World Cup title after 36 years. Earlier, Argentina won the World Cup in 1986. Before that, he won the title in 1978. France previously won in 1998 and 2018.
