Kamathadu: Corona virus infection has been confirmed in 2,421 people in the last 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 7,461 PCR tests confirmed the infection in 1,511 cases and antigen test in 4,953 confirmed virus in 910 people.
A further 81 people have died from the corona infection, said spokesperson Krishna Poudel. Of these, 52 have died in the last 24 hours. He said that the remaining 29 deaths were not included in the previous statistics.
In the last 24 hours, 3,558 people have been recovered. The number of active infected people across the country is 50,520. Out of which 47,246 are in home isolation and 3,234 are in institutional isolation.
In the last 24 hours, 497 people have been found infected in Kathmandu Valley. Of them, 346 are in the Kathmandu district, 97 in Lalitpur and 57 in Bhaktapur, the ministry said in a regular press conference.
