Air India plane with 242 passengers crashes near Ahmedabad Airport

Kathmandu: An Air India aircraft carrying 242 passengers crashed near Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Wednesday, according to Indian media reports.

The aircraft was reportedly on its final approach when it encountered technical difficulties and went down near the airport vicinity. The flight was believed to be arriving from an international destination.
