Kathmandu: Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Nepal Police Bishwa Raj Pokharel has resigned from his post.
He has submitted his resignation at the Human Resource Department of the Nepal Police on Monday.
Pokharel had moved the Supreme Court against the government’s decision to appoint Dhiraj Pratap Singh as Inspector General of Police.
Pokharel resigned after the Supreme Court did not give a verdict in his favor last Friday.
