Kathmandu: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed to provide a loan of about Rs. 20 billion to Nepal to purchase the corona vaccine.
The loan will help run Nepal’s corona vaccination campaign and supply system, the ADB said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the ADB, an estimated 15.9 million doses of the corona vaccine can be purchased from this loan. ADB has said that there is a need to normalize the situation by buying vaccines soon.
This is the decision of December 2020. Under this, Nepal has also received this assistance. ABD has said that it will also cooperate with other stakeholders in this program.
