Kathmandu:The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has imposed a complete ban on the consumption of tobacco and cigarettes inside airports across the country.
After e-cigarettes were found to be smoked at Bharatpur Airport, the authority has decided to impose a complete ban on the consumption of such items at all airports across the country.
The authority has recently written a letter to civil aviation offices and airline operators across the country and informed them that smoking of any kind including tobacco products (e-cigarettes) is completely prohibited inside the airport area.
The airport administration will now have to regularly monitor such activities. The authority has informed all offices to arrange for display of informational publicity materials to the stakeholders and general public working within the airport area.
