Kathmandu: Tata Motors has accelerated the expansion of charging stations across the country to promote electric vehicles.
Sipradi Trading, the official dealer of Tata Motors for Nepal, has stated that charging centers have been connected in more than 100 places across the country so far.
According to the company, DC fast charging stations have been connected in 16 places and AC charging stations in 92 places.
The company says it aims to connect AC charging stations in more than 100 locations by July.
The company has stated that DC charging stations are connected at six places in Bagmati Pradesh; Lalitpur, Chumlingtar, Hetauda, Mulkot, Bharatpur and Dhading under Bagmati province.
Similarly, charging stations have been connected in Lahan, Simara and Dhalkebar in Madhesh, Itahari and Birtamod in Province 1, Bhairahawa, Bhaluwang and Nepalgunj in Lumbini.
Similarly, DC charging stations have been connected in Pokhara of Gandaki and Dhangadhi of Far Western Province.
