Kami Rita Sherpa a new record climbing Mt Everest 26th time

Kathmandu: Kami Rita Sherpa has set a record by climbing Mt. Everest for the 26th time. He is leading an 11-member team of Icefall Doctor to reach the summit of Everest on Saturday.

The team with him reached the summit by making way for climbing Mt. Everest and hanging the rope.

Kami Rita, born in 1970 in Thame, Solukhumbu, holds the record for most climbs since 2018. He broke Appa Sherpa’s record by climbing Mt. Everest for the 22nd time on May 16, 2018.

Among the other climbers who reached Mt. Everest with Kami Rita were Sona Sherpa and Nigma Tasi Sherpa. There are Phurba Chiring Sherpa, Tenzing Galzen Sherpa, Lakpa Tenjing Sherpa.

Similarly, Phurba Kusang Sherpa, Migma Dandu Sherpa, Pastenji Sherpa, Tareman Tamang and Phurba Chhotar have also reached the summit of Everest along with Kami Rita.
